A simple layout that is very easy to create.
1. CTRL + N and create a new TRANSPARENT document
2. Click on your shape tool ( 
) and create the boxes and set their style to WOW PLATIC in black.
3. You should now have something that looks like this:
4. Find, or cut some PSDs. You will need three in all, but for this part you only need two.
5. Now place your 2 PSDs side by side...your creation should now look like this:
6. Now take your shape tool again with and make a white box with a WOW PLASTIC style in white...
7. Now choose a font and type "navigation" above your white box. (If you don't like doing image mapping you can always choose to make this a welcome message box)
8. Now, taking your shape tool once again, make rectangular bars for each link. Make sure the color coordinates with your layout. Set this to drop shadows > hard edge
9. Now, in a font size smaller than the size used for the "navigation" title, type in the title of each link in each rectangle. Like for example, "clear", "extras", and etc.
10. Now, find or cut a smaller PSD and place like so:
11. Now, at the bottom of your layers palette, write the site name in the chosen font:
12. Now you can add whatever you'd like for the other two columns, like Site Stats or, if you haven't already, a welcome message, but this tutorial will not show you how to do so.
13. Remember to save it as a PNG!
